My first Wideangle shot from my blackberry

I'm kinda happy, last year I bought my lomo fisheye2 camera, is a camera that uses film, and even though film nowdays is not expensive as it was years ago, I still have to wait until I finished my exposures then take the film to the lab, wait more than an hour to get my photos the get a CD and transfer the shots into my computer. Fortunately for me the FishEye2 lomo camera has a little ball on top that lets you preview the scene before taking the actual shot.



I had this little ball for months and I was about to buy a door 160 degress viewer to adapt it to my digital camera, but today I looked at it at it 'fits' quite well in my nikon slim camera also on my blackberry cellphone camera, although the images are a bit blurry, Who cares!, it's not a formal fisheye lens, I'm jus adapting and experimenting with images here!



Oh ok... Now back at taking photographs!

I got here like an Hour ago, the beach it is sooo crowded, looks like all Californias hit the beach here at Newport Beach.



The day is beautiful, BUT it would become more beautiful as soon as I get a parking spot.

ok guys this will be the final friday utter..

I spent the whole afternoon at the living room editing pics and uploading to my flickr account, blogging and twittering, then I looked through the window and saw the color in the sky, grab my camera and got this shot. I live in a second story floor so I had to cut some of the buildings in the foreground.



Hopefully tomorrow if I go to the beach I'll get the same colors!

La semana pasada la revista nos encargó entrevistar a la Actríz Ofelia Medina, nos habló de su carrera en teatro, y entre la platica nos mostró unos aretes hechos con corcholatas y alambres, creados por mujeres de su fundación que está en Chiapas, (no recuerdo el nombre de la fundación), la fundación ayuda a mujeres de bajos recursos que sufren de maltrato por sus parejas o simplemente no tienen un lugar donde vivir, en los detalles de los aretes está "La Morena" La Virgen de Guadalupe, un Cristo, Flores y diversas figuras, aquí un ejemplo.

En mi rancho transportaban a los puercos en camiones de redilas para llevarlos al rastro y darles matarile, aca los güeros los llevan en trailers con rendijas y los cochinitos van casi en primera clase, bien bañaditos, limpios, pero al final con el mismo proposito, a hacerlos chicharron, o carnitas estilo Michoacan.

South Mountain

Este fin de semana pasado estuve en Phoenix, [de echo empeze a crear este post desde el Aeropuerto de Phoenix en la sala C19 esperando mi vuelo de regreso a Burbank, casi una semana después lo he terminado ].

El fin de semana estuvo calientísimo!! ( 105° F ), se me ocurrió irme a visitar 'South Mountain' que esta como a 15 minutos al sur del centro de Phoenix, había leido que era uno de los lugares obligados para visitar cuando se está en Phoenix, me fuí el lugar es agradable, desertico es un parque literalmente desertico con muchos senderos para recorridos a pie, los anuncios recomiendan llevar mucha agua, compré 4 botellas de Vitamin Water, y se me terminaron en menos de dos horas.




Captura de pantalla del recorrido que hice en la Montaña del Sur [South Mountain] en Phoenix Arizona, las lineas azules es el recorrido que hice en auto a travéz de los caminos de ese lugar, los pines rojos, es la locación exacta (según el Phototrackr de Gisteq) donde fue tomada la foto, al transferir las fotos el software agrega en el metadata de cada imagen la longitud-latitud, y cada foto puede ser vista en los mapas de google.

Mihaela's Headshots

Today I did some headshots for a new client Mihaela, a 26 yo actress student from Rumania, it was fun, her friend Haydee helps us by holding the diffuser/reflector, We shot at the Balboa Park located a few minutes from my place, I used a 5/1 reflector/diffuser wich is pretty useful at outdoors photosessions, you can reflect the sun in shady areas, or you can diffuse the sunlight when there is no shade near, I also used two speedlite flashes (canon) the 580EX and the 580EXII, the EXII as master flash while the slave was behind the model's left side giving a smooth fill hair light.

She did 7 sets, altough it was a bit windy We managed to get great shoots, here is a quick selection of the ones I like.

I'll post them later in my website once are selected and approved.

Overall, It was a great photosession!

Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel near Goldfield Ghost Town

Ando en Phoenix desde ayer, me dieron 5 horas libres para hacer lo que yo quisiera, me puse a buscar areas de interés, y me encontré con un pueblo fantasma llamado "Goldfield Ghost Town", está a 45 minutos de Phoenix, cerca de ahí hay una iglesia, llamada "Elvis Presley Memorial Chapel", es pequeña y bastante curiosa, así que aquí les dejo esta imagen.

Downtown LA at 2:14 am

Hace unas semanas atrás salí de trabajar de algún evento, y como andaba bien hyper me dí un rol por el centro de Los Angeles, estacioné mi nave, y a unos cuantos metros me puse a experimentar con la cámara... aquí les dejo el resultado de mi experimento nocturno.
